JAMMU: After a two-day closure following multiple landslides triggered by heavy rain and snowfall, the Jammu-Srinagar national highway (NH-44) was opened for one-way traffic on Monday.
Officials said the NH — the only all-weather road connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country — was closed for traffic early Saturday following shooting stones and mudslides at over a dozen places between Nashri and Banihal, including Dalwas, Mehad-Cafeteria and Hingni in Ramban.
