Tulip Garden set to welcome visitors on March 23rd

Srinagar, Mar 11: Tulip Garden is poised to unveil its stunning display of floral grandeur on March 23rd, boasting an impressive array of nearly 1.7 million tulips spanning 73 varieties. Commissioner Secretary of Floriculture, Sheikh Fayaz, confirmed the eagerly anticipated.

With expectations of a substantial surge in visitors, the garden will open its gates to the public, offering an enchanting experience amidst the colorful blooms. Last year, the garden witnessed a record-breaking influx of tourists, earning accolades from the World Book of Records for both visitor numbers and tulip variety.This year, the spectacle promises to be even more captivating with the addition of five new tulip varieties, enriching the garden’s aesthetic appeal. Sheikh Fayaz highlighted that meticulous groundwork has been completed to ensure the successful bloom of 1.7 million tulips in the upcoming season.

To accommodate the anticipated influx of visitors, the Floriculture department has expanded the parking facility, adding an additional four kanal of land, to facilitate a seamless experience for all attendees.Expressing pride in the garden’s recent inclusion in the World Book of Records, Sheikh Fayaz hailed it as a evidence to the department’s dedication. Moreover, he highlighted the significant role the Tulip Garden plays in bolstering the tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

With preparations in full swing and anticipation running high, authorities are gearing up for a notable increase in tourist footfall compared to the previous year. Visitors can expect nothing short of a mesmerizing spectacle as they immerse themselves in the breathtaking beauty of Asia’s largest Tulip Garden.
