MS Dhoni becomes Player with highest number of wins in IPL history: Scripts another record.

He has been part of 150 wins, second are Rohit Sharma & Ravindra Jadeja at 133.

MS Dhoni achieved a historic milestone in the IPL on Sunday, April 28, becoming the first player to participate in 150 victories in the tournament. This record was Set after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) decisively defeated SunRisers Hyderabad by 78 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Dhoni, who has been a central figure in the IPL since its inception in 2008, played his 259th match in the league. Over his illustrious career, he has captained CSK to five IPL titles, making him the joint-most successful captain in the history of the tournament. Although he has passed on the leadership to Ruturaj Gaikwad for the current season, Dhoni’s influence remains significant.

IPL Record for Most Matches Won by a Player:

MS Dhoni – 150 wins

Ravindra Jadeja – 133 wins * Rohit Sharma – 133 wins

Dinesh Karthik – 125 wins

¢ Suresh Raina – 122 wins

Dhoni also holds the record for the most wins as a captain in the IPL, with 133 victories, ahead of Rohit Sharma who has 87.

In the game against SunRisers Hyderabad, Dhoni made a memorable appearance, walking in to bat in the final over of CSK’s innings following Gaikwad’s dismissal for 98. Dhoni quickly made his presence felt, scoring 5 runs off 2 balls, including a boundary, helping CSK reach a formidable total of 212.

Daryl Mitchell also shone in the match, scoring a rapid fifty and taking five outfield catches, tying the IPL record for most catches in a match.
