Srinagar, May 29: The School Education Department in Anantnag on Wednesday asked the government teachers not to practice private tuition, employment in any private institution or coaching center.

In this regard, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of the district issued a circular—ordering blanket ban on privately tuitions by government school teachers.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the CEO in a circular said that in view of the directions issued by the School Education Department from time to time and clear instructions already circulated by the CEO office, ‘all the Lecturers, Masters and Teachers working under the administrative control of CEO Anantnag are directed not to practice private tuition, employment in any Private Institution or Coaching Center.’

“As such, all the DDOs, HOls are advised to certify that none of the Lecturer, Master and Teacher is unauthorisedly involved in private tuitions or coaching,” it reads.

The circular further states that if any teaching personnel is found violating the directives, the department will initiate strict actions against the official involved, as it amounts to a serious violation of the Jammu & Kashmir Employees Service Conduct Rules.

“Moreover, Zonal level monitoring committees already constituted for the purpose of monitoring are also put under instructions to maintain strict vigil over the violators of the said directions and prompt reporting to this office thereof,” it reads.
