Baramulla, Aug 09: As Baramulla prepares for the upcoming 15th August celebrations, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amod Ashok Nagpure on Friday highlighted the district’s readiness and the robust bond between the public, police, and administration.

“Any attempt to disrupt this unity would inevitably fail,” SSP said during a Tiranga bike rally here on Friday.

“The bond between the public, police, and administration is strong and resilient,” SSP Nagpure said, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). “Those who attempt to disturb or undermine this unity will face inevitable failure.”

Highlighting the importance of the tri-colour, SSP Nagpure affirmed that they will continue to fly it proudly. “Our aim is to ensure that every citizen takes pride in participating in the honor of our country by flying the tri-colour proudly,” he said. “Our bond is strong and resilient, and we stand together hand in hand. Those attempting to disrupt the deep-rooted connection that binds the public, police, and administration will not succeed.”

As part of the preparations for Independence Day, SSP announced that Shaukat Ali Stadium will serve as the venue for the celebrations for the first time. He called for large public participation. “We are excited to welcome the community’s participation, as the event is open for all,” he added.

On the matter of security, Nagpure assured that comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure safe celebrations across the district. “We have already implemented adequate measures throughout the district. Our forces are fully prepared and vigilant. As we approach August 15th, we have heightened our alertness to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone,” he said.

Baramulla town witnessed a vibrant tri-colour rally on Friday, with widespread participation from both police officials of Baramulla district and the public, particularly the youth.
