HANDWARA November 23-2024 : Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society, Police have arrested 01 drug peddler in Magam Handwara and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A team of Handwara Police (Police Post Magam) established a Naka at Ganie Mohalla Magam, during checking one person namely Muneer Ahmed khan S/o Dost Mohd khan R/o Uchar Magam was apprehended by police team ,during his personal search 68 grams of Charas like Substance was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on spot.
In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 211/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Handwara and investigation has been initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding Drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
