Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly has issued a notice to PDP legislative party leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, requiring him to respond within seven days to allegations of a “breach of privilege” related to his recent speech in the House.
Para, a newcomer to the legislative Assembly, is accused by National Conference MLA Nazir Ahmad Khan Gurezi of making allegations and using derogatory language during his speech on November 8, 2024, in response to the Lieutenant Governor’s Address.Qazi Mushtaq Ahmad, under-secretary in the J&K legislative assembly secretariat, indicated that the Speaker has requested Para’s comments on the issue before taking further action.
Para has been asked to submit his response within the specified timeframe for review by the Speaker. __PTI
