DODA, DECEMBER 01 (TKA) : Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, accompanied by SSP Doda Sandeep Kumar Mehta, SDPO, and teams from NDRF and SDRF, visited the Kandhote-Shiva Pul area today to oversee the rescue operations following a car accident yesterday.
The vehicle is said to have veered off the road and plunged into the Chenab River, resulting in one confirmed death, while two people remain missing.
Rescue teams, including members of SDRF, NDRF, Ababeel NGO, local volunteers, and Quick Response Teams, are working persistently under challenging conditions to find the missing individuals. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP examined the road conditions in the area to identify safety concerns and explore preventive measures to avoid such tragedies in the future.
The Doda administration has assured its full cooperation with the rescue teams and offered condolences to the grieving family.
