
Anantnag, December 7, 2024 (TKA ) :As part of a major crackdown on drug trafficking and narcotics-related offenses, Anantnag Police have confiscated five residential houses and three vehicles, collectively valued at ₹4.3 crores, under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This action is a significant step in the ongoing fight against drug-related crimes in the region.
Details of Confiscated Properties
Residential Properties (5):
- Reyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ramzan Dar from Hassanpora Tawella, had his single-story house seized by Bijbehara Police due to involvement in multiple NDPS cases.
- Mohammad Yousuf Reshi, son of Ali Mohammad Reshi, linked to a major narcotics case, lost his double-story house, which was attached by Bijbehara Police.
- Subzar Ahmad Mir, son of Sonaullah Mir, also from Hassanpora Tawella, had his single-story residence confiscated for drug-related activities.
- Mohammad Shafi Dar, son of Mohammad Maqbool Dar from Tulkhan Bijbehara, saw his double-story house seized due to involvement in NDPS offenses.
- Abdul Hamid Chopan, a habitual offender from Malpora Ranipora, had his residential property worth ₹30 lakhs attached by Achabal Police.
Vehicles (3):
- A Santro car (JK02B-6823) belonging to Mohammad Shafi Dar.
- A WagonR (HR28C-9580) owned by Manzoor Ahmad Mantoo from Waghama Bijbehara.
- A Toyota Corolla (HR51AL-0505) registered to Rahul Singh from New Delhi.
