
Srinagar, December 13 (TKA) : Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary held a detailed review meeting on road development projects in Kashmir, focusing on Ganderbal, Kulgam, and Srinagar districts.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Engineer for Central Kashmir, Executive Engineer of R&B Division Ganderbal, Executive Engineer for MORTH works, and other officials. Discussions revolved around ongoing projects and future plans, with special attention given to infrastructure development in Ganderbal district.
The Deputy CM stressed the importance of addressing obstacles in road projects to ensure smooth progress and emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to the district’s overall development.
The Chief Engineer provided updates on critical projects, including the Noor Bagh Bridge, Kulgam Bypass, Sanat Nagar Flyover, and several other initiatives.
Surinder Chowdhary directed strict adherence to office attendance and urged officials to prioritize resolving public grievances efficiently to improve administrative services.
In addition to the meeting, the Deputy CM met with several delegations. Representatives from the Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association raised concerns regarding career progression, pending vacancies, regularization, and service-related matters.
Delegations from JKPCC employees, contractors, and the Jammu and Kashmir Fire and Emergency Aspirants Association also presented their issues, seeking intervention for resolution.
The Deputy CM assured the delegations that their grievances would be addressed promptly and efforts would be made to find appropriate solutions.
