Rajouri, Jan 22 (TKA): In response to a mysterious illness causing multiple deaths in Badhal village, the administration has decided to move affected families to the Government Nursing College in Rajouri for their safety and wellbeing.

Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, has issued directives assigning roles to various departments and officers to ensure smooth relocation and proper care at the facility.

The Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, will handle security, deploying personnel to monitor the area and restrict unauthorized access.

To provide medical support, the Principal of GMC & AH Rajouri has been instructed to organize a 24-hour team of doctors at the Nursing College.

The Chief Education Officer, Rajouri, will arrange 100 single beds and mattresses for the relocated families, while the Deputy District Election Officer will install CCTV cameras in the kitchen for added oversight.

Hygiene essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and hair oil will be provided by the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Rajouri. The Chief Medical Officer will deploy a medical team, ambulance, and essential medicines at the site.

The XEN JPDCI and XEN Jal Shakti departments will ensure consistent electricity and an adequate water supply.

Food and bedding arrangements, including cooked meals and blankets, will be managed by the Chief Planning Officer, Accounts Officer, and Assistant Director of FCS & CA Rajouri.

The Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee, Rajouri, will take care of sanitation, set up mobile toilets, and provide dustbins. Food and water safety will be monitored by the Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, to ensure all consumables are tested before distribution.

The Principal of Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Rajouri will oversee inventory management and distribution of items, while the Tehsil Supply Officer, FCS & CA, will supervise cooking and meal distribution.

These measures come after 17 deaths were reported in the village over the last 50 days, with four new cases of illness recorded in the past 24 hours. Authorities are working to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the affected families. (TKA)
