Srinagar, Jan 29 (TKA): Daily wagers and casual labourers of the Wildlife Department held a protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence in Srinagar on Wednesday, demanding regularisation of their jobs and salaries equal to other employees.
A large number of workers gathered near the CM’s Gupkar residence, urging the government to address their long-pending demands. They stated that despite serving the department for over ten years, their requests had been ignored.
One of the protesters said that the authorities should take immediate steps to resolve their issues and ensure job security. A delegation of the protesting workers also met National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who assured them that he would discuss their concerns with the relevant minister in Jammu on Monday.
The protesters warned that if their demands were not met, they would continue their agitation until their concerns were addressed.
