No Signs of Terror Involvement Yet; Search Operations Ongoing

Anantnag, Feb 02 : A Territorial Army (TA) soldier on leave has gone missing from the Achabal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials reported on Sunday.

According to an official , the soldier from the 162 TA unit was on a month-long leave and was expected to rejoin duty but disappeared the same day.

The missing soldier has been identified as Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Abdul Gani Bhat, a resident of Kharpora Chittergul. A police officer stated that efforts are underway to locate him. “As of now, there is no evidence of any terror-related link. A missing report has been filed,” he said.
