Srinagar, Feb 10 : The Delhi High Court has granted Awami Ittehad Party chief and North Kashmir MP, Er Rashid, a two-day custody parole to attend the Parliament.
As per details accessed by news agency , the court permitted his temporary release under strict conditions, barring him from accessing the internet or interacting with the media during this period.
Er Rashid has been in custody since 2019, facing charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in an alleged terror funding case investigated by the NIA. Despite his incarceration, he was elected as the Member of Parliament from Baramulla in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.—KNO
