Srinagar, Feb 28 (TKA): The Education Department has decided to extend the winter vacation for all schools in Kashmir until March 6, with classes set to resume on March 7.
Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo, confirmed that the decision was made due to the ongoing weather conditions in the region.
Initially, schools were expected to reopen on 1st March , but authorities opted for an extension to ensure the well-being of students. Many areas in the Valley are still experiencing harsh winter conditions, making travel and school attendance difficult.
With schools now reopening on March 7, officials have urged institutions to make necessary arrangements, including proper heating, to provide a comfortable learning environment for students.
