Bandipora, Nov 25 (TKA): The Bandipora-Gurez road, which was closed on Saturday due to heavy snowfall at Razdan Top and surrounding areas, has been reopened for traffic, officials confirmed on Monday.
An official informed TKA that the road is now open, with traffic allowed under specific timings for safety reasons.
Traffic from TCP Kanzalwan will be permitted from 08:30 am to 11:00 am, while from TCP Tragbal, vehicles can travel between 01:30 pm and 04:00 pm.
“Drivers and passengers should start from Pethkoot at 12:00 pm and wait at TCP Tragbal until all vehicles from Gurez reach Tragbal,” the official stated.
He also mentioned that all vehicles must be equipped with anti-skid chains, and traffic will only be allowed after confirmation of road conditions from the Border Roads Organization (BRO).
