Handwara, May 03 : President of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit, Ravinder Raina on Friday said that the party will support the candidate, who will prioritize the welfare and development of the people.

Speaking to reporters in Handwara, Raina as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he is in touch with the workers across and will soon come up with a decision with regard to supporting the candidates in the Lok Sabha elections from Kashmir division. “Our allegiance lies with a sincere candidate, who is committed to the well-being and progress of the people,” he said.

Replying to a query, Raina said that Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President, Omar Abdullah is aware of the potential for a significant victory by the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, but is keeping mum in this regard due to their pre-poll alliance with the opposition party—Congress.

“Omar is well aware of Narendra Modi’s hatrick. As an experienced leader, he understands that BJP is going to form the government for the third consecutive time,” Raina said.

Responding to Farooq Abdullah’s statement about BJP’s alleged fear of elections, the BJP chief stated that Farooq is well aware of the strong wave in favor of Modi and BJP.

He added that the lotus will bloom in the valley in the assembly elections, adding that every development witnessed in the Kashmir valley, spanning Kupwara, Bandipora, Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag is attributed to Narendra Modi. Every individual in Kashmir, including children, wholeheartedly supports Modi and the central government.

Our Mission is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, Raina added.
