Srinagar, Jan 02 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of Jammu and Kashmir addressed several significant issues today, including the Kashmir conflict, recruitment transparency, and the possibility of providing free electricity to residents.
During an open discussion, Abdullah highlighted the ongoing nature of the Kashmir issue, pointing out that even if one side claims resolution, the situation across the Line of Control (LoC) remains unresolved. He emphasized the necessity of comprehensive talks involving both sides to achieve a lasting solution.Regarding recruitment in the Fire and Emergency Services, Abdullah called for a transparent process.
He urged for a detailed report to ensure that all eligible candidates receive their rightful opportunities. He stressed the importance of accountability and fairness in the recruitment process, calling for any irregularities to be addressed promptly.
Abdullah also discussed the proposal to provide 200 units of free electricity to residents. He stated that this would only be feasible with the implementation of 100% metering.
