DC Kupwara launches ‘Mission Yuva’ at Handwara

KUPWARA, DECEMBER 21: The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today launched the ‘Mission Yuva’ programme in a well attended function held at Environment Hall Handwara.


The Mission Yuva aims at empowering youth, first-generation entrepreneurs and small businesses with the tools, training and financial support to build enterprises.
Addressing the function, the Deputy Commissioner said that Mission Yuva is an umbrella programme of the government which is aimed to make the youth self-reliant by providing them necessary support to establish their own businesses which will turn them into job givers instead of job seekers.


She said that the District Administration Kupwara has already devised a plan wherein the concerned officials will hold survey in every village to trace the qualified unemployed youth and register their area of interest.


The whole survey will be then compiled in a database form and the targeted youth will be facilitated accordingly by different departments.


On the occasion, entrepreneurs who have already established their income generating units belonging to different areas of the district spoke and shared their achievements and success of their units before the participants.


On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner enjoined upon the budding and aspiring entrepreneurs to get inspiration from these successful entrepreneurs which will help them to establish their own business ventures.


She also asked them to come forward and get expert guidance from the concerned District Heads and other officers.


DDC Rajwar also spoke on the occasion and expressed his gratitude towards the District Administration for organizing the launching ceremony of Mission Yuva. He hoped that many youth will get encouraged under the Mission Yuva and get better avenues for establishing their self income generating units.


Meanwhile, various officers including ACD Kupwara, AD Employment, Chief Agriculture Officer, IPO and others spoke and highlighted the role of their departments in implementation of Mission Yuva programme.


Earlier, Assistant Director Employment briefed the participants about the significance of Udyam Jagriti under Mission Yuva and its benefits on establishment of enterprises in the district.


Pamphlets were also distributed among the participants regarding the information about Mission Yuva and the procedure for availing benefits under the scheme. Information about Mission Yuva App was also given.


DDC Member Rajwar, DDC Member Nutnussa, Assistant Commissioner Development, AC Panchayats, Principal GDC Handwara, CPO, CAO, CAHO, CHO, AD Fisheries, officials from various departments, besides, students from GDC Handwara and large number of existing and aspiring entrepreneurs attended the launching ceremony of Mission Yuva.
