Srinagar, Nov 23 : The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) announced that the decision regarding winter vacations will be made after the annual exams for classes 1st to 9th are completed.
Director Tassaduq Hussain Mir emphasized that the government’s main priority is to conduct smooth and free examinations, which will start on Monday with a uniform date sheet for all classes up to the 9th standard. He clarified that winter vacations will not be declared before the exams conclude.
Regarding the issue of admission and capitation fees charged by some private schools, Mir stated that a fee fixation committee is in place to regulate these charges. He reiterated that no private school is allowed to charge admission or capitation fees from parents.
He assured that any complaints received on this matter will be addressed and appropriate action will be taken.(KNO)
