Srinagar, July: The stage is all set for an unparalleled cinematic experience as Jammu and Kashmir Film Conclave 2024 prepares to kick off on August 1st (Thursday) at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar.

Bollywood heavyweights, including the acclaimed Director Madhur Bhandarkar are set to ignite the event with their presence and insights.

In a video statement as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Madhur Bhandarkar shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I am excited to join the JK Film Conclave 2024 at SKICC Srinagar, which starts at 10 am on 1st August. I look forward to engaging panel discussions, creative workshops, and a day full of joy. I will see you soon.”

According to the details available with KNO, the conclave promises a blend of glamour and innovation, starting with the launch of the Single Window Portal for Film Shooting and Subsidies.

This initiative is set to revolutionize filmmaking in Jammu and Kashmir by streamlining processes and providing much-needed subsidies to filmmakers.

“Attendees will be treated to the inauguration of the J&K Film Screening Series and the Frames of Transformation Photography Competition. These additions highlight the region’s commitment to nurturing local talent and showcasing its cinematic potential,” the details stated.

Bhandarkar, a Padma Shri awardee, known for his bold storytelling and impactful films, who played a pivotal role as a judge in the Naya Jammu Kashmir Short Film Competition, will be a key speaker at the event.

He is expected to share his unique vision and provide invaluable insights into the future of filmmaking in the region.

Moreover, adding more star power to the event, the film personalities like Rahhat Kazmi, Paragg Mehta, and Mir Sarwar will lead insightful panel discussions.

Film enthusiasts can also participate in hands-on workshops, gaining practical knowledge from industry veterans.
