Aijaz-ul-Haq, a contractual lecturer who left his job to start a dairy farm In 2017, on 11th of May , Aijaz-ul-Haq, a contractual lecturer in a college, left his job to start a dairy farm. He is currently in Aragam village,of Bandipora District of North Kashmir. Aijaz has been running this dairy farm for the past five years.

Aijaz-ul-Haq says that he started this dairy farm because he wanted to be a job provider instead of a job seeker. He bought his livestock from Gurdaspur, Punjab in 2017. He got the idea of starting a dairy farm from a friend who was a veterinary assistant surgeon. This had become a roaring success. It was earning him more than 70,000 rupees per month.

Aijaz faced many problems in the first two years of running the dairy farm. There were no private companies to lift milk from his farm. He eventually got help from the Department of Animal Husbandry and J&K Milk Producers Cooperative Limited.

This shows the challenges faced by young people in Kashmir who are seeking government jobs. It aims to inspire young people by sharing the story of Aijaz-ul-Haq, who has successfully started his own dairy farm and is providing employment to others.

Aijaz-ul-Haq’s story is an example of how young people in Kashmir can overcome challenges and achieve success by starting their own businesses.
