Government Ensures Timely Resolution of Public Grievances: Deputy CM

Jammu, November 29 (TKA): Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing public grievances promptly. He emphasized that all concerned departments have been directed to resolve issues within a stipulated timeframe to provide relief to citizens. The Deputy Chief Minister made these remarks while meeting various delegations in Jammu today.

Anganwadi and Labour Workers Raise Concerns: A delegation of Anganwadi workers presented their challenges, including issues related to working conditions, remuneration, and other operational matters. Similarly, representatives from the Labour Workers Association highlighted problems regarding wages, issuance of labour cards, and overall working conditions.

Industrial Associations Highlight Long-Standing Issues : Delegations from the Federation of Industries (FOI) and Small-Scale Industries Association Digiana Estate (SSIADE) discussed pressing challenges faced by the industrial sector. Their concerns included complications arising from Goods and Services Tax (GST), Value Added Tax (VAT), excise duties, leasehold rights, and administrative inefficiencies.

The industrialists underscored the adverse effects of these unresolved issues on business sustainability and growth across various estates, including Digiana, Gangyal, Birpur, Bari-Brahmana, Samba, and Kathua. The Deputy Chief Minister acknowledged the vital role of industries in economic development and assured the delegation of his commitment to addressing their concerns promptly. He also expressed readiness to meet industrial representatives soon to devise solutions.

Delegations Highlight Local Development Needs : Delegations from Jammu, Kishtwar, Doda, and Nowshera also brought forward various developmental issues in their respective areas.

The Deputy Chief Minister assured all delegations that their concerns would be thoroughly examined for effective and timely resolution. He reiterated the government’s dedication to improving public welfare through swift and decisive action.
