Srinagar, Nov 10: Gunfire was heard in Srinagar’s Ishbar area during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) conducted by security forces, according to officials.
A senior police officer informed Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that shots were fired as forces moved towards a suspected location where militants were believed to be hiding.
As the forces approached, the militants reportedly opened fire, sparking an exchange of gunfire. “Gunfire has been reported in Ishbar, Srinagar, with more information expected soon,” the official added.
