New Delhi, Jan 18 (TKA): Union Home Minister Amit Shah has constituted an Inter-Ministerial Team to probe the recent deaths reported in the Rajouri district of Jammu. The team, led by officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, will visit the affected areas to investigate the causes behind three incidents that have resulted in fatalities over the past six weeks.
In a statement issued to TKA, it was revealed that the team will include experts from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, and Ministry of Water Resources. Additionally, specialists from fields like animal husbandry, food safety, and forensic science will support the investigation.
The team is expected to commence its work on January 19 in coordination with the local administration. Alongside identifying the causes of the deaths, they will work on providing immediate relief to the affected families and implementing preventive measures to avoid such incidents in the future. Experts from some of the country’s most reputed institutions have been tasked with addressing the issue and analyzing the factors contributing to the deaths.
It is worth mentioning that 16 people have died in Rajouri over the past six weeks, though the exact reasons for the fatalities remain unclear. (TKA)
