JAMMU, DECEMBER 6 (TKA) : The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), under its RRR (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) initiative, organized a cloth donation drive in collaboration with Gracious Givers at the Annashetra Food Bank in Trikuta Nagar.

The event, led by JMC’s Swachhata Brand Ambassador, Nidhi Abrol, received overwhelming support from the public and officials, reflecting a shared commitment to community welfare. Dr. Divya Sharma, IEC Head, along with her team, actively participated in the drive, showcasing JMC’s dedication to supporting underprivileged communities.

Clothes, shoes, and food were distributed to those in need, emphasizing the values of compassion and social responsibility. Speaking at the event, Nidhi Abrol expressed heartfelt thanks to all contributors and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in bridging societal disparities. Dr. Divya Sharma reaffirmed JMC’s commitment to organizing similar drives for noble causes and stressed the significance of RRR initiatives in promoting sustainable living practices.

The cloth donation drive is a part of JMC’s ongoing efforts to encourage sustainable practices and uplift marginalized sections of society. Events like these foster community connections and inspire empathy and kindness.

The drive also included interactive sessions where beneficiaries shared their experiences and expressed gratitude, adding a meaningful and personal dimension to the event. Volunteers from NGOs and local organizations collaborated with JMC, further enhancing the impact and outreach of this thoughtful initiative. ___TKA
