Srinagar, December 8 (TKA): As winter grips the region, Jammu and Kashmir is set to experience a mix of cloudy skies, light precipitation, and mostly dry weather over the next ten days. Here’s the detailed forecast:


8th December 2024

  • Cloudy skies will dominate across the region.
  • Light snowfall is expected in higher reaches of Kashmir.
  • By evening, some areas in the Jammu region might experience minor rain spells.

9th December 2024

  • Early morning could bring a minor snow spell in parts of south Kashmir, with a 35% probability.
  • The weather will turn partly cloudy to sunny by the afternoon.
  • Light rain or snow is likely in districts such as Doda, Kishtwar, Kathua, and Ramban in the Jammu region. A 25% chance exists for minor rain in other areas of Jammu.

10th December 2024

  • Dry and stable weather is forecast for the entire region.

11th December 2024

  • The day will remain mostly dry.
  • Minor snowfall is possible in the higher reaches of Ganderbal and Bandipora districts.

12th December 2024

  • A weak Western Disturbance (WD) may lead to isolated light rain or snowfall in parts of Kashmir.
  • Otherwise, dry weather will prevail.

13th December 2024

  • Dry and calm conditions are expected throughout the day.

14th to 17th December 2024

  • The extended outlook predicts mainly dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir.
