Srinagar, Dec 03 : A militant was killed during an ongoing encounter with security forces in the upper reaches of Dachigam forests in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday morning.
A senior police officer confirmed that the militant was neutralized during the operation. Efforts are being made to identify the slain militant.
The officer stated that as the joint team of security forces advanced towards a suspected location, the hiding militants opened fire, triggering a gunfight.
The police officer further added that the operation is still in progress, and further updates will be provided as the situation unfolds. ____ NVI
