December 10, 2024 (TKA) : The Kashmir region is gripped by a severe cold wave as temperatures dropped significantly below freezing in many areas. Sonamarg recorded the lowest temperature in the region at -9.7°C, followed by Shopian at -8.5°C and Pahalgam at -8.4°C. Srinagar recorded -5.4°C, while Pulwama experienced freezing conditions at -8.3°C.
