Jammu, January 23: Sakeena Itoo, Minister for Health, Medical, Social Welfare, and Education, paid a visit to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and SMGS Hospital Shalamar today to check on the condition of patients from Budhal village, Rajouri district.
Accompanied by MLA Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen, Principal GMC Jammu, and Medical Superintendents, Sakeena Itoo interacted with the patients from Budhal, ensuring them of all possible governmental support. She emphasized that a thorough investigation is being conducted to ascertain the cause of the incident. “The health department, police, and district administration are working diligently around the clock to uncover the root cause,” she mentioned.
During her visit, the Minister personally reviewed the treatment and care being provided to the patients, instructing the hospital administration to maintain regular health monitoring.
She also directed them to ensure an adequate number of doctors and paramedics are on duty for continuous care and asked for regular updates on the patients’ health.
