Pulwama, December 9 (TKA): A week-long Management Development Program (MDP) focusing on Digital Marketing and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) concluded today at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora.

The program was jointly organized by the Branch MSME Development and Facilitation Office (DFO) Srinagar, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, and the CIED-IUST Foundation.

A total of 25 participants, including current and aspiring entrepreneurs, attended the program aimed at enhancing their knowledge and skills for setting up and running successful enterprises. The sessions focused on narrowing the gap between technology, business practices, and legal requirements, with a strong emphasis on the ever-changing landscape of digital marketing.

Experienced trainers, specializing in digital marketing and intellectual property, conducted the sessions, providing participants with practical knowledge and real-life applications. The interactive activities and tailored guidance offered during the program provided hands-on experience, contributing to the professional growth of the attendees.

Saheel Alaqband, Assistant Director of MSME Srinagar, delivered an insightful address highlighting the significance of intellectual property and its protection for business growth. He emphasized the importance of registering intellectual properties to secure a legal framework, which opens doors to numerous opportunities. Alaqband also conducted a detailed session on the value of data and its proper documentation for business development.

The valedictory session featured remarks from Prof. Parvez A. Mir, CEO of the CIED-IUST Foundation, along with Saheel Alaqband and other members of the foundation, marking the successful conclusion of the program.
