Anantnag, December 2, 2024: In a significant development, Anantnag Police have confiscated a double-storied residential property under the provisions of Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).

The property, owned by Firdous Ahmad Bhat of Hugam Lonepora, Srigufwara, spans 1 kanal and 10 marlas (Survey No. 5419/561 Min) and is estimated to be worth ₹5 crores.

This seizure is linked to an investigation under Case FIR No. 57/2024, registered at the Mattan Police Station. The operation was carried out in compliance with all legal requirements, with a police team and an Executive Magistrate overseeing the process.

This step marks a critical move in the ongoing probe into unlawful and anti-national activities in the region. It underscores the unwavering determination of Anantnag Police to counter threats to national security and ensure public safety.
