Baramulla,December 28: In response to the recent snowfall, District Administration Baramulla have made significant progress in restoring key services, including road connectivity, power supply and drinking water. Restoration efforts are being carried out across the district to ensure the swift return to normalcy for residents.

All major roads, including the Srinagar-Uri National Highway, Gulmarg, Tangmarg, and other main roads, have been successfully restored for vehicular movement. Salt was applied early in the morning to clear icy patches, ensuring smoother and safer travel. Work is ongoing to clear link roads in rural and urban areas, with plans to have them fully cleared by this evening.

Efforts to restore power supply are progressing well, with 80% of the 11kV feeders now fully restored. Restoration teams are working around the clock to achieve 100% restoration of power supply in the affected areas.

Drinking water supply has been partially disrupted in several areas due to freezing conditions. Restoration teams are actively addressing these issues and full restoration is expected soon to ensure access to clean drinking water.

The health sector remains fully operational with necessary measures in place to ensure that essential medical services continue without interruption.Emergency teams are on standby to address any immediate healthcare needs.

District Administration are committed to resolving any remaining issues swiftly and ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents. Cooperation from the public is encouraged to aid in the restoration efforts.
