Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma is all set to leave the franchise after the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. As per the reports in News 24, it is learned that the former skipper of the franchise is unhappy with the way things are panning out this season. The reports claimed that Rohit Sharma is unhappy with the way Hardik Pandya has captained Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024. It is learned that Pandya’s leadership has caused a rift in Mumbai’s dressing room and them not winning a single game has made things worse for them.
The reports also added that the atmosphere in the Mumbai Indians dressing room is not good at all. There have been a lot of arguments between the two players over the decision. The development has been confirmed to News 24 by a player of the franchise. Hardik, who completed a trade move from Gujarat Titans, ended Rohit’s ten-year tenure as MI skipper – a decision that left fans and experts divided. Things did not improve as MI slumped to three consecutive defeats in the tournament leading to fans booing Hardik even at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
If the reports emerge to be true then Rohit Sharma will be entering the mega auction in the IPL 2024. It’s fair to say if he enters the auction then we might see all the records getting shattered. All the teams would want to have him as a batter and skipper, who has won 5 IPL titles.
