Anurag Kashyap, known for launching numerous newcomers, shared a post expressing his displeasure about unwanted meetings. The director, known for his blunt remarks, clearly stated ‘Don’t waste my time’ and even shared his rates for meetings.

The ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ director wrote a long note on Instagram and posted it with the caption, “And | mean it Don’t text or dm or call me. Pay and you will get time. I am not a charity, and i am tired of people looking for shortcuts (sic).” The statement read, “i wasted a lot of time trying to help newcomers and mostly ended up with mediocre s***. So, now onwards, i don’t want to waste my time meeting random people who think they are creative geniuses. So i will now have rates. If someone wants to meet me for 10-15 minutes i will charge 1 lac, for half an hour 2 lacs and for 1 hour 5 lacs. That’s the rate. I am tired of wasting time meeting people. If you really think you can afford it, call me or stay the f*** away. And all paid in advance. (sic).” Over time, Anurag Kashyap has been instrumental in launching numerous talents, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, now a household name. His direction of Vineet Kumar Singh in ‘Mukkabaaz, earning accolades, showcases his eye for exceptional actors.

The director was recently seen in a cameo appearance in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Leo’, where he featured alongside Thalapathy Vijay. Anurag Kashyap is likely to make his directorial debut in Kollywood soon. According to reports, he is working ona Tamil-Hindi bilingual, which will have music director-actor GV Prakash Kumar in the lead role. An official confirmation regarding the film is yet to be made. If everything goes as per plan, this untitled film will be GV Prakash’s debut in the Hindi film industry.
