Srinagar, 29/November / 2024 (TKA) : Police carried out a raid in the Batmaloo area today, November 29, 2024, as part of an investigation into a case registered under FIR No. 65/2024 at Police Station Shergari.
The case pertains to the posting of anti-national content and comments on social media by certain individuals, in violation of Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
After securing a search warrant from the NIA Court, District Police Srinagar searched the residence of Obais Riyaz Dar, son of Riyaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Bonpora, Batmaloo. During the operation, incriminating materials and electronic devices were seized.
The police have stated that additional searches will be conducted at the residences of other identified suspects in the coming days as the investigation progresses.
